Picture-Perfect Fencing, All in One Place

A picket fence is one of the few fence styles that reads as friendly rather than fortified. It marks where your property starts without shutting the yard off from the street, which is why so many homeowners across the Fraser Valley ask for one along a front yard or garden bed.

Classic Vinyl Fencing has been designing and installing picket fences since 1999. Every picket, rail, and post is cut and routed in our own Chilliwack shop, installed by our own crew, and backed by a 30-year product warranty and a 5-year workmanship warranty.

Perfect for Your Property & Built for BC Weather

Because every picket, rail, and post comes out of our own shop, we can match height and spacing to your property rather than asking you to pick from a handful of fixed panel sizes. If your yard has a slope, a corner, or a gate you need positioned just so, that gets built into the plan before we ever break ground.

Once it is installed, a vinyl picket fence asks very little of you. There is no sanding, staining, or repainting on the schedule, and no yearly touch-up to keep it from greying out. Rain and snow run off the surface instead of soaking in, so you will not see the swelling, rot, or peeling that comes with a wood picket fence over time. A rinse with soap and water a couple of times a year is about as involved as maintenance gets.

Vinyl Picket Fence Options

Every vinyl picket fence is crafted and customized around the unique requirements of your yard. Slopes, corners, and gates are planned before we break ground, and sections that follow the grade are built in our shop to fit. This means you’re always getting a fence that’s tailored to you and your property, ensuring it’s the perfect fit for front yards, garden barriers, and everything in between.

Styles

We offer vinyl picket fencing in two top styles:

  • Straight top: Every picket sits level with the next, giving a clean, even line that suits traditional front yards and more modern homes alike.

  • Scalloped top: The pickets dip gently between posts before rising again, adding a softer, more decorative curve to the same footprint. It is a natural match for heritage-style and character homes.

Because we make our vinyl picket fencing in-house, we design the picket spacing, picket height, and overall look in our shop rather than choosing from a few fixed panel designs.

Colours

Our vinyl picket fencing comes in three colours:

  • White: A clean, classic look that suits most homes and brightens a backyard. 95% of the vinyl picket fencing we sell is this colour.

  • Grey: A modern tone that pairs well with newer builds and darker exterior finishes.

  • Clay: A warm, earthy tone that blends into gardens and natural landscaping.

The colour runs through the vinyl itself, so it will never need painting, and it will not peel the way paint does on a wood fence.

Heights

We build picket fences to the exact height you want, whether that is 30 inches or 48¼ inches. Getting the height right matters.

Too tall and a picket fence can start to feel closed-in rather than welcoming. Too short and it may not keep a dog in the yard. We help you find the height that does the job and still looks right from the street.

We can also adjust the spacing between pickets. If you have a small dog or another pet that could slip through a standard gap, we can tighten the spacing so the fence keeps them in without changing the look.

Frequently Asked Questions

A picket fence gives you a property line and a bit of structure without walling in the yard, and vinyl lets you get that look without the upkeep a wood picket fence demands. You get the traditional appearance homeowners want along a front yard, backed by a material that will not need repainting, sanding, or staining year after year.

Most often, we install picket fencing along front yards, garden borders, and side yards where an open, decorative boundary makes more sense than a solid privacy panel. It also works well around pools, play areas, or dog runs where you want a visible enclosure rather than a fully screened one. Local bylaws in the Fraser Valley typically set a lower height limit for front-yard fencing than they do for backyards, so we factor that into the design before we finalize your quote.

Yes. Vinyl does not absorb water the way wood does, so a picket fence installed here will not swell, warp, or rot through a wet Fraser Valley winter. Rain simply runs off the surface, which is part of why we can back every fence with a 30-year product warranty and stand behind the installation itself with a 5-year workmanship warranty.

Yes. Between straight-top and scalloped-top pickets, a handful of height options, and colour and cap choices, we can design a fence that suits a character home just as easily as a newer build. Since we manufacture everything in-house, we are not limited to a fixed catalogue of panel sizes when we put a plan together for your property.

Yes, full service, from an initial site visit through design, manufacturing, and installation. We will also help you navigate permitting where your municipality requires it, so you are not left figuring that part out on your own.

Yes. We can build the fence tall enough to keep your dog in and tighten the spacing between pickets for small dogs and other small pets, while keeping the open, friendly look of a picket fence.
