Classic Vinyl Fencing is a family-owned vinyl fence company based in Chilliwack, BC. Since 1999, we have supplied and installed over one million feet of vinyl fencing across the Fraser Valley. Every fence we build is cut and routed in our own shop and installed by our own crew, and every one is backed by a 30-year product warranty and a 5-year workmanship warranty.

Our Story: Bringing Vinyl Fencing to the Fraser Valley

Classic Vinyl Fencing started with a suggestion from our founder Jason’s uncle in Ontario. Vinyl fencing was a common sight out east, but almost nobody was putting it up in British Columbia. His uncle’s point was simple: a fence that won’t rot, swell, or need repainting makes even more sense in B.C.’s rainy, damp climate.

Jason looked into it and found that hardly anyone in the valley was offering vinyl fencing. In 1999, he left a good construction job and started Classic Vinyl Fencing on his own in Chilliwack. As far as we know, he was the first to offer vinyl fencing in the valley.

The Early Years

The first few years were not easy. Jason had never run a business before, and he had a family and a mortgage counting on him. His entrepreneurial family encouraged him to take the risk anyway.

Selling a product people had never seen was its own challenge. Homeowners liked the idea of a maintenance-free fence, but they wanted to see a finished one first, and in the beginning there were none to show. For years, Jason did everything himself: quoting, installing, and handling the paperwork at the end of the day.

Growing With the Valley

We spread the word through home shows and Yellow Pages ads, and every finished fence became an example the next customer could look at. As vinyl fencing became more accepted across the Fraser Valley, Jason was able to hire his first employee.

Today, Classic Vinyl Fencing is a team of nine with the vehicles, trailers, Bobcats, and tools to take on projects of any size. We have now installed over one million feet of vinyl fencing, and we are close to 100 Google reviews from customers across the valley.

How We Manufacture Our Fences In-House

Most fence companies order pre-made panels in fixed sizes and fit your yard around them. We do the opposite. We bring in raw vinyl from North American suppliers and build each fence in our own shop to fit your property.

1. We source raw vinyl from North America. Posts, rails, boards, and pickets arrive at our shop as raw product, not finished panels.

2. We plan the fence around your property. We measure the site and settle the height, spacing, slopes, corners, and gate locations before anything is cut.

3. We cut and route every piece for your job. Each post and rail is cut to length and routed in our shop to match that specific project.

4. We build the custom parts ourselves. Sections that follow a slope, angled runs, and custom gates are all made in-house.

5. Our own crew installs it. The fence goes in with the same team that built it, with no subcontractors handing off the job.

Because we build in-house, you are not limited to a catalogue. We can set the exact height you want, down to the inch, adjust the spacing between pickets or boards, follow the grade of a sloped yard, and build gates to fit an opening of any width. Fences are available in white, grey, and clay.
